Intermediate sanding is one of the least popular and most costly steps in window construction. In addition to the intermediate sanding itself, the frames must be transported, positioned and turned over. These are all tedious tasks that carry the risk of damaging the parts.
The efficient ‘Quality Finishing’ process makes everything easier. A fine cross-cut microscopically cuts the longitudinal wood fibres at right angles. And it does so with a precision that has never been achieved with traditional methods. During the next step, which involves applying water-based lacquers and preservatives, the fibres no longer stand up and the surfaces remain smooth.
Surfaces prepared with Q-FIN eliminate the need for intermediate sanding in almost all cases, as well as the associated handling.
