The professional CNC wood router L Series 5-axis is a high-performance machine tool designed for precise and continuous machining of materials such as wood, plastics, composites, and non-ferrous metals. This CNC machining center features fully interpolated 5-axis kinematics, enabling simultaneous machining of complex shapes, freeform surfaces, and parts with evolving geometry, while ensuring excellent geometric accuracy and high surface quality.
The machine is built on a welded steel structure made from 10 mm thick steel, providing high structural rigidity, effective vibration damping, and dimensional stability perfectly suited for intensive machining cycles. This design guarantees consistent repeatability and long-term accuracy, even over large travels and during multi-oriented machining operations.
The linear X and Y axes are driven by precision rack and pinion systems, delivering high feed rates and excellent mechanical stiffness on large-format machines, while the Z axis is driven by a ball screw for fine and accurate positioning. The two additional rotary axes, typically of type A and C depending on the configuration, are powered by dedicated servomotors and equipped with precision gearboxes, enabling accurate angular positioning as well as smooth and simultaneous interpolation with the linear axes.
This 5-axis CNC wood router is particularly well suited for applications requiring complex and continuous machining, such as advanced 3D carving, mold manufacturing, double-curvature parts, multi-face machining without re-clamping, technical furniture components, and high value-added industrial parts. The L Series 5-axis offers a high degree of flexibility thanks to a wide range of options, tooling solutions, and table and spindle head configurations.
